Welcome to Bryggjusauna in Ísafjörður. By booking or using the facilities of Bryggjusauna, you agree to the following Terms & Conditions.

2. Our Services
Bryggjusauna is a waterfront sauna and wellness experience located in Ísafjörður. Our facilities are designed for guests seeking to enjoy heat, cold, tranquillity, and nature in a safe and responsible environment.
Our services may include:
Individual sauna sessions
Access passes
Gift cards
Private sauna hire
Group bookings
Events and special offers
Details regarding prices, validity periods, and the content of each service are provided during the booking process or on the Bryggjusauna website.
3. Booking, Payment and Confirmation
All prices are displayed in Icelandic Krona (ISK) and include VAT unless otherwise stated.
A booking is confirmed once payment has been received and a confirmation email or booking confirmation has been issued. Guests are responsible for providing accurate contact details when making a booking.
Bryggjusauna reserves the right to correct any obvious pricing errors, inaccuracies, or booking information.
4. Bookings and Arrival
Your booking grants access to Bryggjusauna on the date and at the time stated in your confirmation.
Guests are requested to arrive on time. Late arrival may reduce the length of your session, and extensions or rescheduling cannot be guaranteed. Failure to attend ("no-show") may result in the booking being forfeited without refund.
Guests may be asked to present their booking confirmation, QR code, or other proof of booking upon arrival.
5. Cancellations and Changes
Bookings may be cancelled or changed up to 24 hours before the scheduled session.Cancellations made less than 24 hours before the booking may be charged in full.
No refunds are provided for no-shows.
Requests to amend bookings should be sent to hello@bryggjusauna.is and are subject to availability.
6. Access Passes, Credit Vouchers and Gift Cards
Access passes, credit vouchers, and gift cards are issued electronically unless otherwise stated.
Validity periods are specified at the time of purchase. Unless otherwise stated, passes and gift cards remain valid for 12 months from the date of purchase or from the official opening of Bryggjusauna, where applicable.
Gift cards and vouchers cannot be redeemed for cash. Lost, stolen, or misused cards remain the responsibility of the purchaser or holder.
Bryggjusauna reserves the right to adjust prices, opening hours, and services during the validity period. Such changes will not affect any remaining prepaid value unless required by law, safety considerations, or operational necessity.
7. Refund Policy
Consumers purchasing online may have statutory rights under applicable consumer protection legislation. Please note that bookings for services provided on a specific date or time may be exempt from statutory cancellation rights where permitted by law.
Refunds will normally be made using the original payment method unless otherwise agreed.

8. Health and Safety
Use of the sauna, cold-water bathing, and all other facilities is entirely at the guest's own risk.
Guests are responsible for assessing their own health before using the facilities. Anyone with heart disease, cardiovascular conditions, high or low blood pressure, respiratory illnesses, pregnancy, recent surgery, or any medical concerns should consult a physician before using the sauna or entering the sea.
The sauna must not be used while under the influence of alcohol, drugs, or medication that may impair judgement, balance, or physical ability.
Guests must follow all safety instructions, signage, and directions from staff. Bryggjusauna reserves the right to refuse entry to or remove any guest whose behaviour compromises safety, disturbs other guests, or violates these Terms.
By booking Bryggjusauna, you acknowledge and consent to CCTV monitoring on the premises for safety and security purposes.
9. Children
Guests under the age of 18 must always be accompanied by a responsible adult.
Parents and guardians are fully responsible for minors during their visit.
Bryggjusauna may introduce additional rules regarding minimum age, family sessions, or children's access where appropriate.
10. Hygiene and Conduct
Guests are required to shower before entering the sauna or any shared facilities.
Guests must respect other visitors, treat the facilities with care, and leave them in good condition.
Glass containers, hazardous items, or any object posing a safety risk are prohibited.
Smoking, vaping, and the use of tobacco or nicotine products are prohibited unless specifically designated otherwise.
11. Sea Access and Natural Conditions
Bryggjusauna is located on the waterfront, where natural conditions may change rapidly.
Cold-water bathing and all use of the sea are entirely at the guest's own risk.Guests should exercise caution due to cold temperatures, slippery surfaces, waves, currents, darkness, wind, and changing weather conditions.
Bryggjusauna may restrict sea access or temporarily close facilities whenever conditions are considered unsafe.
12. Personal Belongings
Guests are responsible for all personal belongings, including clothing, valuables, mobile phones, watches, and other items.
13. Photography and Social Media
Guests may take photographs and videos for personal use provided they do not interfere with the experience of others or infringe upon their privacy.
Photography or filming of other guests without their consent is strictly prohibited.
Commercial use of photographs or video recorded at Bryggjusauna requires prior written permission.
14. Food, Beverages and Alcohol
Guests may not bring alcoholic beverages onto the premises unless expressly authorised by Bryggjusauna.
Bryggjusauna reserves the right to restrict food and beverage consumption where necessary to protect hygiene, safety, or the experience of other guests.
15. Closures and Force Majeure
Bryggjusauna reserves the right to temporarily close the facilities, adjust opening hours, postpone bookings, or suspend services due to weather, maintenance, technical issues, safety concerns, instructions from public authorities, natural disasters, labour disputes, or other circumstances beyond our reasonable control.
Where Bryggjusauna cancels a booking, guests will normally be offered either an alternative booking or a refund, as appropriate.
Bryggjusauna accepts no liability for indirect losses, travel expenses, accommodation costs, loss of income, or other expenses arising from cancellations, delays, or closures.
16. Guest Behaviour
Guests are expected to treat staff and fellow visitors with courtesy and respect.
Inappropriate behaviour, harassment, violence, intoxication, excessive noise, dangerous conduct, or breaches of these terms may result in immediate removal from the premises without refund.
Bryggjusauna reserves the right to refuse admission where necessary to protect the safety and wellbeing of guests and staff.
17. Privacy
Bryggjusauna processes personal data in connection with bookings, purchases, customer service, and other interactions.
18. Complaints and Governing Law
If you are dissatisfied with any aspect of our services, please contact us as soon as possible at hello@bryggjusauna.is.
We will make every reasonable effort to resolve complaints fairly and promptly.
These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of Iceland.
Any disputes that cannot be resolved amicably shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the Icelandic courts.
19. Changes to These Terms
Bryggjusauna reserves the right to amend these Terms & Conditions at any time.
The latest version will always be published on the Bryggjusauna website.
Changes will not affect bookings already confirmed unless required by law, safety considerations, or circumstances beyond our reasonable control.
