BRYGGJUSAUNA

Bryggjusauna

Bryggjan (The Pier) has always been a meeting place for people and journeys. It is where people work, wait and look out across the sea. Bryggjusauna is built on this foundation, offering a new reason to pause - a place of calm in a setting that is often full of movement.

Located on the waterfront of Pollurinn in the heart of Ísafjörður, Bryggjusauna was designed by Finnish architect Toumas Toivonen and draws inspiration from the town’s views of Pollurinn, the surrounding mountains and the town itself.

Bryggjusauna was created from a simple idea: to provide a place where both locals and visitors can slow down, be present in the moment, and restore their energy through the timeless contrast of heat and cold.

The sauna accommodates up to 10 guests at a time and features a traditional Finnish electric sauna stove. Guests have access to changing facilities and a shower. After making a booking, you will receive a personal access code that unlocks the sauna during your reserved time. All you need to bring are your swimsuit and a towel.

You can book either an individual seat during a shared public session or reserve the entire sauna for a private group experience.
